That’s Not Me
That’s Not Me presents snapshots taken between 2001 and 2009 of the artist Nuri Koerfer on holiday and in her home country, Switzerland. While Koerfer embodies the role of model, her friends and family act as photographers, taking pictures of Koerfer posing with the dead animals, or the skeletons of dead animals, that she has found along her walks, playfully breathing life into each cadaver.
The idea for That’s Not Me came about when Koerfer was in China, where she lived and worked for six months in conjunction with a scholarship. It’s her first excursion into photography, and printed in an edition of 500 hand-numbered copies.
